ACORN latest group thrown under bus. But Obama is not really aware of them.

This is amazing.  Obama is trying to pretend he has no idea what is going on with ACORN.  He has a long history with these criminals.

Channeling clueless Charlie Gibson and Nancy Pelosi, President Obama is playing dumb about ACORN. Here’s what he said on ABC’s This Week this morning:

STEPHANOPOULOS: But have your — have some of your allies made it easier for — handed your opponents some ammunition, like ACORN, for example…

OBAMA: Well, look, the — you know, I think that — are there folks in the Democratic camp or on the left who haven’t — haven’t always operated in ways that I’d appreciate? Absolutely.

STEPHANOPOULOS: Congress said they should cut off all funding for ACORN.

OBAMA: Is — is — is…

STEPHANOPOULOS: … all funding for ACORN. Are you for that?

OBAMA: Is that true on the other side, as well? Of course that’s true.

STEPHANOPOULOS: How about the funding for ACORN?

OBAMA: You know, it’s — frankly, it’s not really something I’ve followed closely. I didn’t even know that ACORN was getting a whole lot of federal money.

STEPHANOPOULOS: Both the Senate and the House have voted to cut it off.

OBAMA: You know, what I know is, is that what I saw on that video was certainly inappropriate and deserves to be investigated.

STEPHANOPOULOS: So you’re not committing to — to cut off the federal funding?

OBAMA: George, this is not the biggest issue facing the country. It’s not something I’m paying a lot of attention to.

It strains credulity — no, it snaps credulity in half — to believe Obama “didn’t even know” that ACORN was “getting a whole lot of federal money” given his extensive legal services on behalf of the group and training for its voter education arm, Project Vote

As Obama says, ACORN is not something he is paying a lot of attention to.  Yeah, I am sure that’s true.  Obama wants to toss this one under the bus, but there are so many ties to him, its not going easily.

ACORN is a non-profit and is required to not push either political party or endorse a candidate during its “get out the vote” campaigns.  Let’s look at an ACORN slideshow from the election:

Well, that seems to be totally un-biased, right?

How about those links Obama has to ACORN?  Here are just some of them…

  • While Obama and Weather Underground co-founder/terrorist William Ayers both served on the board of directors of Chicago’s Woods Fund, Chicago ACORN received $190,000 in Woods’ money.
  • In his November 2007 ACORN address, Obama said: "I’ve been fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career."
  • Obama’s campaign paid $832,598 last February to Citizens Services, Inc., an ACORN affiliate. The campaign originally described this to the Federal Election Commission as "staging, sound, lighting." Last August, amended filings showed this money purchased get-out-the-vote services. Obama spokesman Bill Burton told MSNBC Tuesday that "one-tenth of that money went to ACORN for those efforts."
  • …Madeleine Talbot, who at the time was a leader at Chicago Acorn. Talbot, we learn, was so impressed by Obama’s organizing skills that she invited him to help train her own staff. (link)
  • Reverend Jeremiah Wright and Father Michael Pfleger – two radical clergy closely associated with Obama – have extensive ties to ACORN
    And the list goes on.
The more you learn about Obama, they greasier he is.

Amazing….. Not really aware of Acorn? Kind of like he wasn’t paying attention to Rev Wright’s sermons all those years? Or Van Jones’ hateful wacko statements? He’s much too busy making his rounds on television, spewing his narcissistic B.S. It could be he was concerning himself with his dear friend Professor Gates mouthing off to a policeman, (he had an opinion of the policeman though) or he was watching MTV and noticed Kanye West acting like a “jackass”. He’s tuned into those issues and misses ACORN…… and that’s the elected Leader of the Free World? Wow. This is just getting started…

republicans are the cowardly 1/4 of americans who dont want progress so they exploit every cheap shot they can find to throw the president off balance i believe this kind of press is disgusting most republicans can not even talk about economics without looking at the negative because republicans drive their party menbers by on ignorance and fear of economic stability this is just a stupid waste of time

Hey Paolo Cremidis: If Your Happy And You Know It CLANG YOUR CHAINS. There Is Good Reason People Are Fearful Of What Is Going On. You Possibly Cannot Be That Ignorant Are You? That Is Ok. One Thing Man Might Think He Has Control Of. But The Lord God Almighty Knows He Has Control. And He Is Begining To Show It. I Do So Hope For You And The Rest Of The World You Get Ready. Just Remember. The Holy Bible Is The Only Book Of Any Other Belief. That Tells Not Only The Begining. But The END Of The World. God Bless You All. As In The Last Part Of Revelation. COME LORD. AMEN.

Paolo: I’m guessing that you clearly realize the the President is not being truthful and feels quite comfortable telling the lemmings that follow him that… because they’ll buy anything. Republicans are against progress? What do you mean “progress”? A monolithic incompetent government controlling everyone’s lives, taxing well beyond what our founders could even fathom, and passing laws that pick our pockets while restricting us more and more each day is not “progress.” I’m ashamed that a President openly lies with such ease because it means he has little respect for American citizens, many of whom voted him into office. Most of the Republicans in office ARE cowards, many think they should be Democrat “Light” in their policies and legislation. They are easily cowered by racist charges and don’t have the guts to stand for something regardless of the consequences. I’m waiting for a legislator to go to Washington to ERASE as many laws and restrictions on capitalists and small businesses as possible. That would be real progress.

    Michelle

This kind of bullshit conspiracy theory destroys your credibility. Which is a shame, because as President Obama has stated and shown many times, Republicans and conservatives DO have important and viable opinions which SHOULD be heard. If only they weren’t drowned out by your vapid and useless insistence on some cracked-out theory.

The first line in the Democrat manual; If you are going tell a lie, tell a big one and tell it often.
