Hot Air » Blog Archive » Dem congressman: If Guam gets too overpopulated, it might tip over

Well, this does explain a lot.  If the Dems have brain surgeons like this guy, I am amazed that ObamaCare wasn’t written in crayon.

Via Weasel Zippers, a clip that’s destined to be viral by tomorrow morning. Even so, go easy on him. Yes, he was an Iraq defeatist, and granted, he demagogued Joe Wilson’s outburst in the scummiest way imaginable, but he’s also a guy with a serious illness that affects his mind (“he regularly gets lost in thought in the middle of a discussion”). Although if that’s what’s going on here, a polite question for Madam Speaker arises: What’s he doing at these hearings instead of resting?

It is a sad, sad, sad day in Georgia. Thank heavens I do not live in this guy’s district. Makes me embarrassed for my fellow Georgians that we have this kind of “brain-pwer” representing our state. 4th District Georgia people please wake up…. sad…..

Everyone is looking at this like the guy is an idiot so I’ll provide some big government perspective.

It exposes the need for creation of a new highly technical large budget federal agency to continually monitor the island for proper trim and keep the president notified via a newly appointed Guamanian Island Stability czar.
It requires all new construction to apply for and purchase an island stability permit prior to project startup and mandates inspections during construction.
It requires creation of an action plan to relocate people, buildings and infrastructure if and when the island goes out of spec.

This is unbelievable! Each day I am becoming more and more aware that our politicians, leaders, are just out of touch! We can do better, and we ought to do better.

Einstein said it, ” Genius has it’s limits but stupidity knows no bounds. I’m not suprised that this guy also believes in global warming. OF course we fear that Texianbiker may be right about the role of big government.
