Google to Pay Heterosexuals Less Than Gay Employees

July 1, 2010 1 comment

Straight people will get paid less because they could get married and get a tax cut.  How wonderful.  And someone tell me, would it be considered discriminatory if I paid straight people more because they are less likely to get HIV?  Could I pay straight people more because married straight couples tend to live longer and healthier?

Liberals hate discrimination.  As long as you define “discrimination” as “not giving special benefits to the groups they like”.

Google plans to pay gay employees more

Google is set to begin covering a cost that gay and lesbian employees must pay when their partners receive domestic partner health benefits, according to a report in the New York Times.

The cost is largely to compensate these workers for an extra tax that heterosexual married couples do not pay. The increase will be retroactive to the beginning of the year, the newspaper said.

Google is not the first large company to make up for the extra tax, the Times reported, adding that Google’s move could inspire its Silicon Valley competitors to follow suit, as they compete for the same talent.

If that doesn’t seem like discrimination, let’s flip it on its ear: I own a company that employs both caucasians and minorities. I put out a memo announcing that I’ve discovered that my white employees are paying higher property taxes, so in order to make it “fair” to everyone, I’m going to start paying white employees more so they can cover their extra property taxes.

Quick Thought Process For Liberals. Spend Like Obama. How Does It Work For You?

Here is an interesting thing I ask all those who support Obama to try.  Follow his example.  If he is right, it should work, right?

Step one:  Figure out how much you make.

Step two:  Spend more than that and use as much credit as possible.

Step three:  Tell your boss that he needs to pay you more, immediately, so you can increase your spending further.

Step four:  Spend even more and blame your parents for spending too much and making it so that you have to spend this money.

Step five:  If anyone asks you why the hell you are spending so much more than you make, explain that it “stimulates the economy”

Of course, the logical conclusion to this is:

Step six:  Start collecting unemployment because your boss fired you, default on your credit because you can’t afford to pay.

Guess what?  You now exist completely as a drain on the few who are still employed.

I Don’t Think That Word Means What You Think It Means. Once Again, “Unexpected” Jobless Rise.

How is it that it happens again and again, but its “unexpected”?  How is it that EVERY Republican can see Obama’s actions killing jobs, yet its unexpected.   For a group that consider themselves “intellectuals”, they are pretty &#%@$ing stupid, aren’t they?

And, the Obama-media continues to be shocked with the rise in the jobless rate.

Initial claims for unemployment benefits rose last week for the second time in three weeks, a sign that layoffs are rising.

The Labor Department says new claims for jobless benefits jumped by 13,000 to a seasonally adjusted 472,000. Analysts expected a small drop, according to a survey by Thomson Reuters.

Greater layoffs by construction firms contributed to the increase, a Labor Department analyst said. Home sales slumped last month after the expiration of a popular homebuyer tax credit. Summer layoffs in many school districts also added to the total.
