Oh, this one will be interesting.  I wonder where that $1.6 BILLION dollars went to.

How much money do you need to murder?

Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s (PPFA) audits show the organization spent just $657.1 million between 2002 and 2008 from federal government grants and programs, but the abortion behemoth’s own annual reports show that it took in $2.3 billion from government grants and programs during the same time period.

That’s not pocket change. Why the discrepancy?

The report (the first of its kind since 2002) was released in response to a request from 31 U.S. senators and representatives and in an atmosphere increasingly hostile to abortion. Not surprisingly. then, its findings are fueling an escalating outcry to defund Planned Parenthood.

Since 2009, at least five nationwide polls have confirmed that a majority of Americans consider themselves pro-life.

Someone, then, needs to explain to all those people why $2.3 billion in tax dollars have been doled out to an organization that admits to systematically having killed more than 1.8 million pre-born babies between 2002 and 2008 and then reports it only spent $657.1 million in federal dollars.

Doctor’s Dumping Medicare Patients. What’s Next?

Here we go.  I mentioned this months ago.  I also mentioned that this is an obvious result of ObamaCare.  So, what happens now?  Here are some good guesses

• Good doctors only work for those who will pay for their services so Obamacare patients will not have enough
• Since the doctors are all busy making money, the criteria for needing a doctor will be raised.  “Do It Yourself Bone Setting and Heart Surgery”
• Lack of doctors forces the Feds to use less trained people.  Nurses where doctors are needed, hospital workers where nurses are needed
• Standards will be lowered so that less trained and lower paid people can become “doctors”
• Dems will pass laws forcing doctors to accept Obamacare patients.

More doctors nationally are refusing to see new Medicare patients due to the low government payment rates.

USA Today reported, via Memeorandum:

The number of doctors refusing new Medicare patients because of low government payment rates is setting a new high, just six months before millions of Baby Boomers begin enrolling in the government health care program.

Recent surveys by national and state medical societies have found more doctors limiting Medicare patients, partly because Congress has failed to stop an automatic 21% cut in payments that doctors already regard as too low. The cut went into effect Friday, even as the Senate approved a six-month reprieve. The House has approved a different bill…

The federal health insurance program for seniors paid doctors on average 78% of what private insurers paid in 2008.

“Physicians are saying, ‘I can’t afford to keep losing money,’ ” says Lori Heim, president of the family doctors’ group.

CA Budget Comes Up $19B Short… Misses Constitutionally Required Deadline… For 24th Straight Year.

Gee, since Dems have been in control of California for so long, I don’t understand how things could be bad.  I would expect it to be a utopia of social programs, rolling in self sufficient wealth, happiness, and renewable power.

I am SHOCKED.  Oh, wait.  No I’m not.  Actually, I am surprised its not completely without money, unemployed, people running for the borders to get out (except for the illegals who are running in), and controlled by special interests. 

WOW.  Can I call it or what?

For the 24th straight year, California legislators have failed to deliver a state budget to the governor by the constitutionally-required deadline of June 15.  This year, the date came and went without so much as whimper. 

It’s become business as usual in the not-so-golden state. 

The danger in this delay will increase dramatically a few days from now, when the new fiscal year begins on July 1. 

That’s the time when the state starts spending money from the new budget, purportedly in accordance with how much money will be coming in.  Meanwhile, the Big 5–the governor and the four major leaders in the legislature–have done nothing to build a balanced state budget.  In fact, they have had exactly one meeting on the subject.

The most serious problem is that the state is $19 billion short of what it needs to provide current programs and services at current levels.  Given that California now ranks 47th in per capita public school expenditures and 50th in transportation, the state hasn’t been spending money like crazy.  Still, we’re short–very short–of what we need.  What to do?

MSNBC Is Objective… As Long As The Objective Is To Work With The White House To Decide What You Hear. Ask Mika.

And they seem honestly surprised when we say they are biased.  I guess it helps when you think there is only one real point of view, theirs.

Mika could be seen reading from her notes during exchanges with former GE CEO Jack Welch, who was critical of the PBO’s handling of the spill.  After repeated ribbing from Welch and Joe Scarborough over her use of White House talking points, Mika came clean . . .

MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Do you want to know why I have a file that I’ve been working on with the White House—and I’ll be very transparent about that?  Because of your friend Rudy Giuliani who came here last week spewing out a whole bunch of nothing.

If Brzezinski believes Giuliani had his facts wrong, have her book a White House official to straighten things out.  But for Mika to be collaborating directly with the Obama admin in mounting a defense is unseemly at best.  Then again, credit Mika for saying out loud what surely happens with many others behind the scenes.
