So, Where Is This Executive Order That Allowed Stupak To Vote For ObamaCare? Sign It Yet, Obama? No?

UPDATE: It looks like he is going to sign the Executive Order.  So does anyone want to guess how long it lasts, considering that its not legal…

If anyone, Dem or Republican believed this crap from Obama, I have a bridge to sell you.

By the way, it was because Stupak believed that Obama would sign the EO that he flipped his vote.  It had nothing to do with the money given to 3 airports in his district.  A pure coincidence…  RIGHT.

But he promises he’ll do it "soon."

President Obama signed the Senate health care bill into law Tuesday. He did not sign the executive order on abortion negotiated with Michigan Democratic Congressman Bart Stupak in an 11th-hour arrangement that may well have saved the entire health care reform effort.

A White House official told Fox, Obama will not sign the Executive Order Tuesday and has set no specific date to do so. Stupak predicted Obama would sign the order later this week. The White House said only that Obama would sign the order "soon."

In two celebratory speeches Tuesday – one at the bill’s signing, the other at the Interior Department with health care advocates – Obama said nothing about the abortion issue or the executive order.

How stupid were Bart Stupak and the other so-called "pro-life Democrats" to get played on this? Not only is the executive order basically worthless, the president isn’t even pretending to give a damn about the agreement he made.

Remind me again how the success of passing ObamaCare is supposed to help Democrats in the midterms.  Americans want tort reform, but ObamaCare has them so angry that they want states to sue to block it.  Only 37% oppose the idea, according to Rasmussen:

Forty-nine percent (49%) of U.S. voters favor their state suing the federal government to fight the requirement in the new national health care plan that every American must obtain health insurance.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of likely voters finds that 37% disagree and oppose their state suing to challenge that requirement. Fourteen percent (14%) are undecided. …

With House Democrats poised to pass the Senate health care bill with some reconciliation changes later today, it is worthwhile to take a comprehensive look at the freedoms we will lose.

Of course, the overhaul is supposed to provide us with security. But it will result in skyrocketing insurance costs and physicians leaving the field in droves, making it harder to afford and find medical care. We may be about to live Benjamin Franklin’s adage, “People willing to trade their freedom for temporary security deserve neither and will lose both.”

The sections described below are taken from HR 3590 as agreed to by the Senate and from the reconciliation bill as displayed by the Rules Committee.

1. You are young and don’t want health insurance? You are starting up a small business and need to minimize expenses, and one way to do that is to forego health insurance? Tough. You have to pay $750 annually for the “privilege.” (Section 1501)

2. You are young and healthy and want to pay for insurance that reflects that status? Tough. You’ll have to pay for premiums that cover not only you, but also the guy who smokes three packs a day, drink a gallon of whiskey and eats chicken fat off the floor. That’s because insurance companies will no longer be able to underwrite on the basis of a person’s health status. (Section 2701).

3. You would like to pay less in premiums by buying insurance with lifetime or annual limits on coverage? Tough. Health insurers will no longer be able to offer such policies, even if that is what customers prefer. (Section 2711).

This is your fault, people.  Who passed the biggest tax increase ever?  You did.  Who passed the multi trillion dollar abortion funding bill?  You did.  Every one of you who voted for Obama did this.

Some of the American people probably thought they were voting for hope and change when they voted for President Barack Obama on Nov. 4, 2008. But according to Rev. Al Sharpton, they were voting for socialism.

Sharpton, the founder of the National Action Network and talk radio host told Fox News on March 21, during their special coverage of the House of Representatives’ passage of health care reform legislation, this victory for President Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi would begin "transforming" the country.

"I think that the president and Nancy Pelosi get credit," Sharpton said. "I think this began the transforming of the country the way the president had promised. This is what he ran on."

And if that transformation is socialism, then so be it, he explained. That is what the American public "overwhelmingly" voted for.

Well, GOP.  Now you need to grow some serious balls.  REPEAL IT.  Run in November on repealing this.
