Just watch. TOO awesome for words:
You have to give Brown credit. He is a fast thinker. A beautiful slam without any hesitation. Everything he says is like that.
Just remember who votes, Mass. Not the Pharma companies, not the lobbyists. They don’t vote, and they aren’t going to be paying your taxes. You are.
Well, well, well. The Big Pharma lobbyists and health care special interests are digging deep into their pockets to help out flailing Mass. Democrat Senate candidate Martha Coakley.
With Democrat Martha Coakley in trouble in the Massachusetts special election to fill Ted Kennedy’s seat, Democrats could lose vote No. 60 for President Obama’s health-care bill. In response, an army of lobbyists for drug companies, health insurance companies, and hospitals has teamed up to throw a high-dollar Capitol Hill fundraiser for Coakley next Tuesday night. The invitation is at right (click here for a better view).
Of the 22 names on the host committee–meaning they raised $10,000 or more for Coakley–17 are federally registered lobbyists, 15 of whom have health-care clients. Of the other five hosts, one is married to a lobbyist, one was a lobbyist in Pennsylvania, another is a lawyer at a lobbying firm, and another is a corporate CEO. Oh, and of course, there’s also the political action commitee for Boston Scientific Corporation.
This is the Senate Candidate running in Mass. This stupidity could have a Senate vote.
On Wednesday December 30 Jordanian doctor and Al-Qaeda blogger Humam Khalil Abu-Mulal al-Balawi killed 7 CIA officers in a suicide bomb attack at an outpost in southeastern Afghanistan. Before he murdered the Americans in Afghanistan he recorded a tape with the local Taliban leader. The Taliban released the tape after his death.
On Monday Senate Candidate Martha Coakley told Massachusetts voters that it was time to pull out of Afghanistan. The Taliban was “not there” anymore.
“I think we have done what we are going to be able to do in Afghanistan. I think that we should plan an exit strategy. Yes. I’m not sure there is a way to succeed. If the goal was and the mission in Afghanistan was to go in because we believed that the Taliban was giving harbor to terrorists. We supported that. I supported that. They’re gone. They’re not there anymore.”
She’s not just wrong- She’s dangerous.
And here we go.
New York (AP) – A lawyer asked a judge Monday to toss out charges against the first Guantanamo Bay detainee to be brought to civilian courts, saying he was tortured for 14 hours over five days and denied trial for nearly five years.
Attorney Peter Enrique Quijano told U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan that Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani’s right to a speedy trial was violated when he was sent after his July 2004 arrest to a secret CIA-run interrogation camp abroad rather than to the U.S. for a civilian trial.
CNSNews.com – Obama, Democrats Put Politics Above Educating D.C.’s Disadvantaged Youth, Black Leaders Say
Fools. Don’t you understand that these children need to be taught government approved curriculum in a government funded school. You are not qualified to decide what your child must be taught. Now, hand out this fisting kit to your child and shut up.
(CNSNews.com) – Black leaders say that President Obama, Education Secretary Arne Duncan, and Congress have put politics ahead of helping low-income children in the District of Columbia by refusing to support a program that allows 1,700 children to go to a private school, including the school Obama’s two daughters attend.
Congress did not reauthorize funding for the D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program (OSP) in the 2010-11 federal budget, ending a program that has helped thousands of disadvantaged children attend some of the best schools in the nation’s capitol since its inception in 2004.
And while Obama backed Congress’ move to continue funding scholarships for children already in the program until they graduate from high school, no new children will receive the $7,500 annual tuition scholarship.
“The cancellation of the program, in my view, has been an unprecedented move by the federal government, because this is a historic moment, historic government spending in our nation’s history – a time when the U.S. Treasury is giving hundreds of billions of dollars to Wall Street bailouts,” Juan Williams, political commentator, said at a press conference held last week at the National Press Club in Washington.
Didn’t these banks get to choose if they took bailout money and when it was paid back. Obama already screwed them over by deciding when he would allow them to pay it back.
So my question is to the banks. Did the last page of the agreement you signed with the government say “We reserve the right to change any of this contract, in any way, at any time, when ever the f*** we feel like it, up to, and including taking over your bank and charging you fees to do so.”? Did you have to sign it while bent over a conference table with your pants around your ankles while Barney Frank stood behind you?
Seriously. What were the terms you accepted this bailout money under. Were you that stupid or does Obama just change the rules as he sees fit. Actually, I am sure its both.
WASHINGTON (TheStreet) — The Obama administration is planning to impose a bailout fee on banks to recoup losses from the government’s bailout program, administration officials said.
The White House hopes the fee will soothe the public anger at financial firms which have resumed paying big bonuses to employees, the Wall Street Journal reports. Aided by taxpayer support, the industry is now enjoying a profit rebound even as the economy struggles.
House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank told the Journal, "Given the mood of the country it is essential that we do it. That was part of the deal."
The proposal currently under discussion is likely to be included in the White House’s budget next month, the Journal says. White House spokesman Robert Gibbs on Monday declined to comment for the Journal on whether the budget would include a new fee on banks.
The details of the fees to be imposed remain uncertain. The administration is reportedly pondering over what companies would pay the fee, whether it would be passed on to customers and when it should be imposed.
Sadly, the press will happily accept whatever version of reality they come up with.
Rush says “Negro”? RACIST!
The Census says “Negro”? RACIST
Reid says “Negro”. It’s ok.
Barack Obama defended Harry Reid today saying that, “Harry Reid has always been on the right side of history.”
Obviously, Obama forgot about Harry Reid’s horrible statement on Iraq saying, “This war is lost,” during the midst of the Bush Surge…
A very successful military surge despite Reid and Obama’s best efforts to sabotage and misrepresent the previous administration’s war efforts.
