Obama Administration Takes Important Step In Security: Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab’, The Underwear Bomber, Has Visa Revoked

January 6, 2010 Leave a comment

Wow, I take back all I said about how pathetic the Obama administration is on security.  I mean, in a short 12 days after this guy tries to blow up a plane with 300 people on it, they are able to get to revoking his visa.  That sort of speed and efficacy should be honored, not vilified.

In a related story, the Obama administration has announced that they have just discovered that dinosaurs are extinct.

La Times’ Blog:

Under the category of looks-like-about-12-days-too-late, the State Department has announced it is revoking the U.S. visa for suspected Nigerian underwear bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab.

That will show him and who knows how many others that the Obama administration really means business.

It wasn’t revoked when MI5 reported him. I was not revoked when his father reported him missing. It was not revoked when he tried to blow shit up.

DHS IG says bureaucracy unable to fight terrorism. So, how long till he gets fired?

I wonder how long before this IG joins Walpin in the unemployment line.

In the aftermath of the EunuchBomber’s botched attack, Janet Napolitano assured Americans 48 hours later that “the system worked”.  When the entire nation scoffed at that assertion, the DHS Secretary amended her remarks to assert that she just meant her system worked — even though that had nothing to do with the conversation at hand with CNN’s Candi Crowley or with the concerns of Americans.  Now, the Inspector General of DHS says that Napolitano is as wrong as she can be about her amended assertion, and that DHS is failing miserably at counterrorism:

The Homeland Security Department’s National Operations Center (NOC) is “unable” to do its job of ensuring coordination among the 22 federal agencies that make up the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and focuses too much on disaster management rather than terrorism prevention, according to its own inspector general.

The National Operations Center, in fact, functions largely in name only, and current operations apparently have diminished its ability to respond to terrorist threats.

These assessments are presented in a redacted report from the DHS Office of Inspector General released in November and entitled “Information Sharing at the National Operations Center.”

Gateway Pundit: Count ‘Em… Obama Lied 8 Times About Televising Healthcare Debate

January 6, 2010 Leave a comment

And this is “transparency”?

Eight times Barack Obama promised during the 2008 campaign to televise the Congressional health care debates.

Drudge reported on these lies this morning.
Instead democrats are meeting secretly this week to work out the final details on their nationalized health care scheme.

Here’s the video:

Via Naked Emperor News.

Michelle Malkin wrote more on these closeted late night secret democratic negotiations to nationalize health care today in her column.

According to The Politico:

The president is favoring the Senate’s more conservative approach, which is not surprising considering the political realities. Passing reform is now a numbers game – 60 and 218. Pelosi has votes to spare. Reid does not.

Obama’s Stupidity In Action: Yemen Releases Six Former Gitmo Despite Promises to Obama After Less Than A Week

January 6, 2010 Leave a comment

Thank you, Obama.  There are now 6 more known US enemies free in the heart of AQ lands because of your stupidity and arrogance.  Did you think that Yemen would do what you wanted because you actually believe that you are that amazing, or is this just and example of your own anti-Americanism?

Its not a surprise the six detainees transferred from Gitmo to Yemen were released within a week of their return to Yemen, and its no surprise that the Saleh government in Yemen lied to the US with its pledge of continued detention. What’s shocking is that anyone on the US side actually believed them to start with.

California Authorities Say Bottles Of Unknown Amber Liquid Cause Airport Shutdown. TSA Agents Sickened By Fumes From… Honey??? Bees Now On No-Fly List.

bees-of-doom Ok, I am glad that it was nothing except an idiot who decided to travel with honey and am happy that the TSA stopped him, but explain this part:

When Transportation Security Administration agents opened one of the bottles and tested the contents, the resulting fumes nauseated them, Youngblood said. Both were treated and released at a local hospital.

Come on, guys.  It was F*cking HONEY!  Does this mean I can pretty much incapacitate the entire airport security personnel with a packet of sweetener?  LOOK OUT!!, he’s got a “Bit-O-Honey” candy bar!

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.  —  The suspicious material found inside luggage that prompted the shutdown of a California airport Tuesday morning turned out to be five soft drink bottles filled with honey, authorities said.

A passenger’s suitcase tested positive for TNT at Bakersfield’s Meadows Field during a routine swabbing of the bag’s exterior, Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood said. When security officials opened the bag, they found bottles filled with an amber liquid, he said.

"Why in this day and age would someone take a chance carrying honey in Gatorade bottles?" Youngblood asked. "That itself is an alarm. It’s hard to understand."
