Buy What Democrats Say to Buy or GO TO JAIL | Right Wing News
If this bill passes, will is survive a Constitutional review by the SCOTUS?
It has come to this, America. Democrats have decided that if you don’t agree with their policies, you are to be fined. And if you don’t pay the fine, you are a criminal and will be sentenced to jail. That’s right, Democrats are criminalizing dissent.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has decided to leave language in her heatlhcare bill that criminalizes and prescribes jail time for any American that does not want to buy private healthcare insurance. Think of this, America. I am telling you that the U.S. Congress has decided to force you to buy the product of a privately owned corporation! The power of the U.S. federal government has never been used to purchase something from a private company but here comes San Fran Nancy to do just that. But, let’s face it. She is only taking her cue from the big guy and his "Chicago way" sort of political thuggery.
The Joint Committee on Taxation issued a letter (Download pdf file) in reply to Representative Dave Crump’s inquiry about the matter of the criminal penalties of refusing to buy healthcare insurance should Pelosi’s version of Obamacare pass.
In reply the JCT outlines the exact language in the bill that proves that Pelosi and her Democrat leaders want to turn YOU into a federal criminal if you don’t want to buy her health insurance. Criminal penalties include:
- Section 7203 – misdemeanor willful failure to pay is punishable by a fine of up to $25,000 and/or imprisonment of up to one year.
- Section 7201 – felony willful evasion is punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment of up to five years.”
Is it Constitutional? Apparently they just don’t care.

Amazing.
You know, Senator Gregg, talking like this won’t get you an appointment to Barack Obama’s Cabinet. Oh, wait …:
Senator Gregg: Updated CBO Estimate of House Bill Pulls Back the Curtain on Majority’s Intent to Grow Government by $3 Trillion
Senator Judd Gregg (R-NH), ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee today commented on the Congressional Budget Office’s (CBO) more detailed cost estimate of the manager’s amendment to the House health reform bill.
Senator Gregg stated, “The CBO estimate released last night finally sheds light on the smoke and mirrors game the majority has been playing with the cost of their health care reform proposal. Over the first 10 years, this legislation builds in gross new spending of $1.7 trillion – and most of the new spending doesn’t even start until 2014. Once that spending is fully phased in, the House Democratic bill rings up at more than $3 trillion over ten years.

After the 2 liberals in NY-23 conspire to elect Bill Owens, he breaks 4 campaign promises in his first hour.
Once again we see that the Dems have no morals, no truthfulness, and no conscience.
I wonder how those idiots who voted for him feel now?
After being sworn into the US House the New York democrat announced that he had changed his mind and would endorse Pelosi’s nationalized health care plan after all.
The Gouverneur reported, via RedState:Congressman-elect Bill Owens was sworn in at noon today.
Owens indicated in a press release that he was now in favor of the bill in direct contrast to his earlier position during his campaign.
According to Politico.com, Mr. Owens assured voters that he felt the public option had no place in the health care reform bill. Contrary to that position, Mr. Owens now indicates that he intends to vote in favor of the bill even though it now contains a public option.
AP reporting that the Dems are ready for the vote… And the public will not get to see the bill
The AP just reported
WASHINGTON (AP) — House Democrats have cleared an impasse over abortion that has been holding up a vote on sweeping health care legislation.
A vote is expected on Saturday – after President Barack Obama makes a late morning trip to the Capitol to make one final pitch for the legislation.
According to Rep. Bart Stupak of Michigan, he and other abortion opponents will be given a chance to insert tougher abortion restrictions into the legislation during debate on the House floor.
Which means that the Dem can change the bill and will not put it up for public viewing for 72 hours like they have promised again and again.
This will also annoy a bunch of pro-choice Dems. How will this play out?
