WOW. Its amazing to actually catch the LA Times get something right. Oh… wait. They are saying its a bad thing. Oh, I get it. For a second there I thought they were giving credit to the blogs for actually doing investigation and for covering a story they refused to. Oops.
Yes, that’s what we call sarcasm.
The L.A. Times’s Peter Wallsten runs interference for Obama and Van Jones, framing the controversy as a political attack fostered by right-wing media:
Responding to a firestorm that raged almost entirely on conservative talk shows and websites, the White House today announced the resignation of a top environmental advisor who had made fiery remarks about Republicans and signed a petition questioning whether the U.S. government had any role in planning the Sept. 11 attacks.
Could it be any clearer? These are not legitimate complaints, Peter Wallsten is telling you with his wording. These were politically motivated complaints generated by right-wing extremists.
Of course, the real reason that the controversy raged almost entirely on conservative media is because traditional media were not doing their fucking jobs. As far as I am aware, only one guy was nonpartisan enough to pursue this story: Jake Tapper. Everyone else sort of hoped it would go away.

Maybe Van Jones had the documents filed beforehand so that they would automatically defend him from any questions.
The NAACP was once a noble organization with a noble goal. Now they are a liberal hate machine dedicated to pushing a political agenda, not helping blacks at all.
The only time they work for the “advancement of colored people” is when that colored person just happens to be a liberal or communist who hates America.
The NAACP told black moderate Kenneth Gladney that he’d have to fill out a form before they’d investigate his a$$ whooping by Obamacare supporting SEIU thugs outside of Russ Carnahan’s town hall meeting.
They appear to be much more open to defending Barack Obama’s communist-Truther cop-killer supporting Green Czar, Van Jones.
It’s too bad Ken Gladney did not release a hate-filled album with cop killer Mumia al-Jamal.
Maybe the NAACP would have rushed in to support him.
The NAACP defended Van Jones yesterday.
The NAACP defended him today.

Well, it didn’t happen the way I expected, but it happened. Obama knew.
The other shoe drops.

Downing Street has hit back at Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton for attacking the decision to release the Lockerbie bomber.
President Obama and the US Secretary of State fuelled a fierce American backlash against Britain, claiming Abdelbaset Al Megrahi should have been forced to serve out his jail sentence in Scotland – but a senior Whitehall aide said their reaction was ‘disingenuous’.
British officials claim Mr Obama and Mrs Clinton were kept informed at all stages of discussions concerning Megrahi’s return.
The officials say the Americans spoke out because they were taken aback by the row over Megrahi’s release, not because they did not know it was about to happen.
What did Obama know and when did he know it?

Nothing to add to it. This is just too cool for words:
Hat tip: IMAO
I am surprised the even mentioned it now.
Van Jones, Obama environmental adviser and "green jobs" czar, resigned late Saturday night, the culmination of days of controversy (ignored by the mainstream media) after the Gateway Pundit blog dug up evidence of Van Jones being a "Truther." He signed a 911Truth.org petition in 2004 questioning whether the Bush administration "may indeed have deliberately allowed 9/11 to happen." And the New York Times does its first story on the matter — the day after Van Jones resigned his administration post.
Last month, the New York Times jumped on the conservative fringe of "Birthers" who question Obama’s Hawaiian birthplace and thus his presidential eligibility, deriding the conspiracy theory as false and demanding prominent Republicans denounce the idea. Yet the Times maintained strict silence on the Van Jones controversy as it bubbled away for several days in the photosphere, with only the Washington Times and Fox News Channel willing to treat as a news story the fact that an influential member of the Obama administration thinks the government may have let 9-11 happen — a far more incendiary charge than the question of Obama’s birthplace.
Not that the Times has completely ignored Van Jones. My Media Research Center colleague Seton Motley uncovered a Times profile of Van Jones from October 2007, written by columnist Thomas Friedman, who has been on a "green" kick the past few years. Friedman ignored Van Jones’ Communist ties:
Van Jones is a rare bird. He’s a black social activist in Oakland, Calif., and as green an environmentalist as they come. He really gets passionate, and funny, when he talks about what it’s like to be black and green:
So Times’s readers again come to an administration scandal cold, not hearing about controversy over an Obama official until the day that official resigns or retreats from an administration position. Chas Freeman was Obama’s pick for a top intelligence post, who angrily withdrew from consideration in March 2009 after accusations of anti-Semitism that were ignored by the Times until the day he withdrew.

I wonder how long doctors will have to wait to get paid under Obamacare.
How can we expect a government that can’t run a (originally) $1 billion dollar program to get a $1 trillion+ one right?
I mean it only grew to triple its original size because they couldn’t estimate it right. And has only managed to pay 1/6th of the people owed.
Give Sharon Silke Carty of USA Today credit for unearthing important information about the serious back-office problems with Uncle Sam’s Car Allowance Rebate System (CARS) program, popularly known as "Cash for Clunkers."
This is the program that ABC, CBS, and NBC have all characterized as "a victim of its own success."
But Carty didn’t do nearly as much as she could have with the information she learned. Her most grievous oversights were her failures to compare the government’s newly promised payment timetable to the 10 days dealers were told to expect, and to explain to her readers the extra unreimbursed costs dealers will have incurred as a result of the program even if (emphasis if) dealers receive full payment for their Clunker transactions.

Well, I was a bit off. I figured he would have been fired by Friday.
I am waiting for the “That’s not the Van Jones I knew” line from Obama.
Read the whole story at Power Line. They have a lot of additional info.
Obama green jobs commissar Van Jones resigned at midnight as a result of controversy over his past statements regarding 9/11 and a few other subjects. His departure is unfortunate. A self-avowed Communist and transparent hater of the United States before the Age of Obama, he was a perfect symbol of the animating spirit of the Obama administration.
Of this there should be little doubt. Jones was not a one-off nutjob. Let us recall one more time the words of Obama alter ego Valerie Jarrett bragging about Jones before a friendly audience earlier this year: "Oooh. Van Jones, alright! So, Van Jones. We were so delighted to be able to recruit him into the White House. We were watching him, uh, really, he’s not that old, for as long as he’s been active out in Oakland. And all the creative ideas he has. And so now, we have captured that. And we have all that energy in the White House."
Best line?
Who do they have in the White House? A self-proclaimed Communist. A vulgar Marxist twice over. A supporter of cold-blooded cop killer Mumia Abu Jamal. A 9/11 Truther . A racist hater, whose hatred extends to the United States. And insofar as his current job is concerned, we have a man who sees the "green jobs" con as a tool for overthrowing capitalism. We have, in short, the complete left-wing nightmare package.
