Now, the UK has turned on the US.
Read this article. In a nutshell, the UK handed over someone who killed 270 people, mostly Americans for oil contracts.
Would this have happened under any other president? Would Bush have sat by and watched this happen without taking any actions against it or the nations that facilitated it? I doubt it.
The government of Gordon Brown in the UK insisted it had nothing to do with the “compassionate release” of terrorist Abdul Baset Ali al-Megrahi, the Lockerbie bomber who killed 270 people, the majority of them Americans. The Times of London has correspondence which appears to dispute that, and shows that the UK reneged on a promise to the US to keep Megrahi behind bars for his entire sentence

Let’s get the story and country involved correct. The “UK” had nothing to do with this terrorist release.
It was a Scottish judge that did this dastardly deed!
The ‘UK’ {England} can no more stop a Scottish judge releasing this terrorist than a US Federal judge can stop New York judge releasing a rapist from a NY jail!
Actually, if you read the article and the article it links to, the UK cut a deal with Scotland to release him.
Additionally, the UK told Scotland they had no agreement with the US to keep him in prison for his whole sentence, the exact opposite of what the US was told.

Finally, just so you know, Scotland is PART of the UK. It has partial self-government, but it answers to Parliament on most matters, such as defense and international relations.
