Word of the day: Barackracy
So I was watching a video from an interview from after Katrina. Well, during it, the guy kept mispronouncing “bureaucracy”
He kept saying “Barack-racy”. How awesome a word is that?

I was about to post a story about Showtime attacking the Catholic faith and lying to do so. It’s disgusting and vile.
Well, I have discussed religion with friends for years, and one thing really bothers me. People who claim they are atheists, but are not.
First off, I am an atheist. I was raised in a southern Baptist school and spent many years learning about Baptists, as well as Methodists. I spent a lot of time studying other religions just for the heck of it.
Now, according to many atheists, I should be telling you how you are a moron if you believe in God, and you are a danger to society. I should also be trying to convince you God is a myth and trying to get the government to ban all religion because of “separation of church and state”. I won’t even get into the fact that the separation of church and state is not in the Constitution, no matter what most liberals claim.
No. That is not an atheist, that is someone who is afraid a God MAY exist, is afraid of judgment, and wants to make sure everyone else is like them. If no one believes in God, they won’t be in trouble.
I love this country and one of the things I hold as dear about it is the freedom of religion it has. You are free to worship any religion you want without persecution. How awesome is that? A country, founded by religious people, was forward thinking enough to know that everyone would not believe what they did and that was protected.
The basis of the US legal system is grounded in the Judeo-Christian religion. The very beginnings of the nation were carried on the hearts of those who looked to the Lord for guidance and blessings. Read the Declaration of Independence and see for yourself.
“In God we trust”, “one nation, under God”, and so on; the US is intertwined with Christianity and a respect for all religions.
And as an atheist… I think it’s great!
WHAT???!!!!???
As long as you don’t force your beliefs on me, I am happy to know that you love God and are religious. I am happy to discuss religion with you and happy to listen and learn. I would also not dream of trying to convince you that your religion is wrong. I would tell you what I believe and why if asked, but my lot in life is not to stand between you and God.
Religion gives people peace, guidance, strength, and any other positives they draw from their belief. Religion also provides a strong moral compass and guidance. What is wrong with that? Why is that a bad thing? It’s not. When I see people pray, I lower my head and respect that belief.
I look at this nation and am happy to see the Ten Commandments in a courtroom and all the other trappings of religion I see. These are the beliefs that shaped this nation, and if for no other reason, they represent the basis and history of our country.
To me, a true atheist is not angered by your belief. Would I attack you, calling you names, mocking your intellect if you believe in the Loch Ness monster or ghosts? Yet, for some reason, religion causes this strife from people who claim to be atheist.
The reactions you see can only be explained in one way. These so called atheists are afraid. Not that you believe in God, but that you may be right.
Please note: This article is for people who are members of sane, non-violent, respectful religions. I think we all know which one is left out.
Just watch it. This woman praises Castro and more…

Hypocrisy seems to be the norm with the Obama administration, doesn’t it?
My column last week on Pay Czar Kenneth Feinberg spotlighted his declaration of authority to retroactively “claw back” CEO compensation packages offered by TARP recipients that he deemed “excessive.”
Reuters reports today that His Highness the Special Master of Compensation himself has raked in some hefty compensation packages:
The “pay czar” tasked by the U.S. government with ruling on the eye-popping compensation of some of Wall Street’s top earners is far from a stranger to big paychecks and the trappings of wealth.
Kenneth Feinberg made $5.76 million last year as a partner in his Washington law firm, Feinberg Rozen LLP, according to a government ethics filing obtained by Reuters.
And his assets, which include a stake in his law firm, two homes and dozens of investments, are worth anywhere from $11 million to $37 million, according to the filing, which places assets in broad value categories.

I have covered Honduras in several posts, as well as Obama’s moral and legal corruption in turning on Honduras for upholding its constitution. Here’s the latest…
While the US prepares to cut aid to Honduras for enforcing its own laws, the man they want returned to power in Tegulcigapa has an offer to come home — but not to return to office. Roberto Micheletti, the interim president selected by the Honduran parliament, has offered to resign as part of a deal allowing Manuel Zelaya to return to his country. Zelaya has to renounce any claim to office in order to accept:
The interim president of Honduras has offered the man he replaced after a June coup the chance to return to the country on the condition that both renounce claims to the presidency, a negotiator said Thursday.
Arturo Corrales, a member of a three-man Honduran panel seeking an end to the standoff, told The Washington Times that Roberto Micheletti was willing to make the concessions to restore peace and prosperity to Honduras following the coup against Manuel Zelaya.
The offer represents a turnaround by Mr. Micheletti, who has insisted until now that Mr. Zelaya should have been arrested rather than deported to Costa Rica on June 28. Mr. Zelaya was deposed by the military after he sought to change the constitution to allow him to run for a second term.
A former Clinton administration official pointedly remarked that the ball is now in Zelaya’s court, and that this offer is a test of his sincerity:
Lanny Davis, a prominent Washington attorney who represents the Honduran Latin American Business Council, said the new proposal “shows Mr. Micheletti is not concerned about power — he is offering to resign entirely from public life. … The question is, does Mr. Zelaya acknowledge that no one, even the president, is above the law?”

"Where someone may not feel that the inspection of a briefcase would raise significant privacy concerns because the volume of information to be searched is not great," the report notes, "that same person may feel that a search of their laptop increases the possibility of privacy risks due to the vast amount of information potentially available on electronic devices."
So, DHS gets it: our laptops allow us to carry our lives around with us, and losing them is not only a tremendous inconvenience, but raises legitimate fears of exposing irrelevant personal information.
Just because they get it, however, doesn’t mean that they’re going to act upon that knowledge in any significant manner. The new policy statement sets a few standards and limits for what they do with hardware and data, but doesn’t really change the dynamics of the seizures.

No one on our side had any questions about this. Its glad to see others are acknowledging it.
Since HR3200 doesn’t require people to establish citizenship or legal residency before applying to exchanges for health insurance, including the public option, taxpayer money will certainly flow to illegal immigrants:
In what he called the “first myth” being spread by critics of his proposal for a government-run health care system, Obama said they are wrong in claiming illegal immigrants will be covered: “That is not true. Illegal immigrants would not be covered. That idea has not even been on the table.” Obama said.
Well, Mr. President, that idea must have been tucked under a stack of background briefing papers over there in the corner of the table because the Congressional Research Service (CRS) says this about H.R. 3200, the Obamacare bill approved just before the recess by the House Energy and Commerce Committee chaired by Rep. Henry Waxman, D-CA:
“Under H.R. 3200, a ‘Health Insurance Exchange’ would begin operation in 2013 and would offer private plans alongside a public option…H.R. 3200 does not contain any restrictions on noncitzens—whether legally or illegally present, or in the United States temporarily or permanently—participating in the Exchange.”
The event occurs at 2:20 into the video, but its all good.
A local union leader was booed out of Rep. Tim Bishop‘s town hall meeting last night in New York.

The town hall protesters did not like what Bishop was dishing out. (Newsday)
Like they tried to do here in St. Louis, union members, many from outside the district, were snuck into the hall in an effort to stack the deck with a friendly audience.
There are reports that as many as three busloads were brought in.
*** Things boiled over when Mr. Mitchell, head of the Long Island Federation of Labor, steps up to the podium and announces that he in fact does not reside within the borders of NY’s First Congressional District.

What is the cost of three Canadian visitors a day? Fifteen million dollars in Obamabucks, apparently. Worse, this waste of money wasn’t something the president of "transparency" seemed disposed to let us easily discover. Still, the Boston Globe reports that $15 mil is the amount of so-called stimulus money that Obama allowed to be spent by the state of Montana on a tiny border check-point facility that sees about three visitors a day — that’s $14,000,000 per tourist for the year
Damn. Looks like they found me. I am definately an Islamophobe according to this.
“Are You An Islamophobe?,” by Phyllis Chesler in Pajamas Media, August 26:
Are you an Islamophobe? Here is a simple test.
Lorna Saltzman’s Test
Do you favor equal rights and treatment of women and men?
Do you oppose stoning of women accused of adultery?
Do you favor mandatory education of girls everywhere?
Do you oppose slavery and child prostitution?
Do you support complete freedom of expression and the press?
Do you support the right of an individual to worship in her chosen religion?
Do you oppose government- and mosque-supported anti-Semitic publications, radio, TV and textbooks?
Do you oppose the wearing of burqas in public places, schools and courts?
Do you oppose segregation of the sexes in public places and houses of worship?
Do you oppose the death penalty for non-Muslims and Muslims who convert to another religion?
Do you oppose “honor” killings?
Do you oppose female genital mutilation?
Do you oppose forced sexual relations?
Do you oppose discrimination against homosexuals?
Do you support the right to criticize religion?
Do you oppose polygamy?
Do you oppose child marriage, forced or otherwise?
Do you oppose the quranic mandate to kill non-Muslims and apostates?
Do you oppose the addition of sharia courts to your country’s legal system?
Do you disagree with the quran which asserts the superiority of Islam to all other religions?
If you answered most or all of these affirmatively, you are a vile Islamophobe and deserve to be beheaded as the quran instructs.
If you answered one third or more of them affirmatively, you are a borderline Islamophobe and need to receive brainwashing to become a full-fledged dhimmi.
If you answered a quarter or fewer affirmatively, you need a few private lessons in dhimmitude to scrub yourself clean of those remnants of Islamophobia.
If you answered affirmatively to NONE of these, Congratulations! You are a worthy observant (radical–PC addition) Muslim and have a bright future vilifying Jews, torturing women or, inshallah, becoming a suicide bomber.”
