The words of the One, teaching us that doctors are in it for profit and to screw over the patient.
Right now, doctors a lot of times are forced to make decisions based on the fee payment schedule that’s out there. So if they’re looking and you come in and you’ve got a bad sore throat or your child has a bad sore throat or has repeated sore throats, the doctor may look at the reimbursement system and say to himself, “You know what? I make a lot more money if I take this kid’s tonsils out.”
Boy, it will be great when the doctor’s can’t make decisions on whether or not to operate and its up to a politician to decide. Things will be much better then. Mind you it won’t really matter, since that kid won’t see a doctor for months anyway. He should be dead from nephritis by then.
“We are now in the early stages of a depression. The economic indicators we follow to track real economic activity are all signaling a slowdown of massive proportions. You wouldn’t know it reading the mainstream papers of course – they all focus on the relative decline in the slowdown’s intensity.” — Doug Ross
This is from a report by Sprott Assett Management on the economy. How wonderful.
The GOP has finally accused ACORN of fraud and all the other crap they have been up to. About damn time.
The executive summary of the report says ACORN provided contributions of financial and personnel resources to indicted former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown and candidate Obama, among others, in what the report calls a scheme to use taxpayer money to support a partisan political agenda, which would be a clear violation of numerous tax and election laws. — Fox News
Now for the real question. Does anyone actually believe that Obama will allow the DoJ to actually investigate? Not going to hold my breath.
Bwahahaha. And now the Dems turn on Obamacare. This boondoggle is starting to look more and more like a one man team.
The House Energy and Commerce Committee canceled the session as it faced serious concerns about the legislation from fiscally conservative Blue Dog Democrats, who hold a large number of seats on the panel. The Energy and Commerce Committee is the only House panel with jurisdiction over health care that has not completed writing its version of the reform bill. – Fox News
I hope we will be able to return the favor for when the Dems got up and applauded when Bush said that reforms to the Social Security system were blocked.
Ok, alot of things have been going on lately that pretty much has me thinking that satan is ice skating and having skiing competitions in hell right now.
If you have been keeping an eye on things, you have watched the whole fiasco that caused Al Franken to become a politician instead of a failed comedian. Then, during the Sotomayor hearings, he asks a question about Perry Mason. Well, I was waiting for his first bill. I figured it would be something like “Arrest Bush” or kill all Republicans. I am so damn confused.
The first bill he is pushing… “Increase Number of Service Dogs Available to Veterans”
Franken wrote in an opinion piece published Monday in the Minneapolis Star Tribune that his proposed pilot program will train “a statistically significant number of dogs” to measure the benefits to veterans living with devastating injuries sustained on the battlefield. — Fox News
Al, I am shocked and absolutely pleased that you would offer a program like this. A compassionate, inexpensive, pro-military program is a great thing to see, regardless of what party you come from.
I have to admit, I am sure it was a fluke and you will do something that will make you dispise the fact that you managed to get elected, but feel free to prove me wrong. I will happily apologize.
Are you kidding??? This is WAY bad news.
The total price tag for federal support stemming from the financial crisis could reach $23.7 trillion in the long run, the government’s top bailout watchdog says in a new report to Congress. — Fox News
$23.7 trillion… 23,700,000,000,000 freaking dollars. Can we stop him now? PLEASE?????

I really have nothing to add to this article. I think the Nobel Peace Prize Laureates and the rest of them worded things quite well.
Great article, Closing Velocity
Yeah, who needs defense against Russia?
Ha! One more to add to the list. The Mayo Clinic had this to say about ObamaCare:
Although there are some positive provisions in the current House Tri-Committee bill – including insurance for all and payment reform demonstration projects – the proposed legislation misses the opportunity to help create higher-quality, more affordable health care for patients. In fact, it will do the opposite.
In general, the proposals under discussion are not patient focused or results oriented. Lawmakers have failed to use a fundamental lever – a change in Medicare payment policy – to help drive necessary improvements in American health care. Unless legislators create payment systems that pay for good patient results at reasonable costs, the promise of transformation in American health care will wither. The real losers will be the citizens of the United States. – Mayo Clinic Health Policy Blog
Ouch. This is the same May Clinic that Obama praised for doing things right:
“And that the measure of the quality of care is not quantity, but whether or not it is making you better. Now, what we’ve seen is that there’s some communities and some health systems that do this very well. Mayo Clinic, a classic example. In Rochester, Minnesota. People go there. They– spend about 20-30 percent less than some other parts of the country, and yet have better outcomes.” – ABC News
So, once again, we see that the ObamaCare plan has nothing to do with providing quality care or fixing the problems in the health care system. Its about socialism, pure and simple. Increasing peoples dependency on the government to protect their own power.
The more people look at this plan, the more they hate it and Team Obama is doing everything to hide how bad things are and force through a vote as soon as possible, with as little notice as possible.
