Cavuto reports on the Dems want to give tax cuts to trial lawyers and sneak it in an unrelated bill

July 31, 2009 1 comment

GavelThe legal system is in desperate need of tort reform.   Everyone remembers the idiot who sued for millions when she spilled coffee on her lap.

Bush pushed for a cap of $250,000 on pain and suffering.  Of course the Dems slammed that.

Well, today Covuto  reported that the Dems are “open” to a tax cut on trial lawyers.  The tax cut would be for when they lose a case and don’t get that huge payout.

Yeah, thats just what we need to do.  Lets give trial lawyers more incentive to push frivilous lawsuits.  Ask Sarah Palin about those.  So more people will be sued for any excuse they can find in the hopes that they will cave under pressure to settle out of court.  If it does go to court and its a loss, no big deal, just write it off.

Does it seem like a bad idea?  Oh yeah.  And not only do you see that, so do the Dems.  They want to hide it in an unrelated bill.

Why do they want to do this?  Two reasons.  First, most politicians are lawyers so it makes it easier and secondly, $750,000,000.  Thats right.  $750 million dollars given to Dems.

Looks like that investment may pay off well.

Define irony – How about Obama's personal doctor thinks ObamaCare sucks?

docobamaAh, the delicious irony.

“I look at his program and I can’t see how it’s going to work,” Scheiner told the Huffington Post. “He has no cost control. There would be no effective cost control in his program. The [Congressional Budget Office] said it’s going be incredibly expensive … and the thing that I really am worried about is, if it is the failure that I think it would be, then health reform will be set back a long, long time.”  – Gateway Pundit

Too damn funny.

Highway Trust Fund money wasted on scenic beautification instead of the highways and bridges. Solution? Dems want bailout.

July 30, 2009 1 comment

Highway_BeautificationLooks like the government is wasting money in the Highway Trust Funds for scenic beautificaton instead of the actual roads.

Two Republican senators are accusing the federal government of misusing $78 billion in Highway Trust Funds on scenic beautification and other low-priority projects rather than committing money to essential programs to restore major highways and bridges.

Sens. John McCain of Arizona and Tom Coburn of Oklahoma say the Government Accounting Office report released Thursday shows that the nearly bankrupt fund wasted billions over the past five years when it should have been using money earned by the federal fuel tax to maintain the nation’s highways and bridges.  — FoxNews

And now the Dems want to bail out this bunch of retards.

Anyone remember when the liberals were blaming the Republicans for road and bridge repair?  Olbermann blamed the war for taking the money away.  And Daily Kos claimed, as always, it was Darth Bush.

Well, its good to see that when the truth comes out that the Dems are quick to jump in and take responsibilty for their mistakes and work hard to fix it so it won’t happen again, right?  Right?  Hello, is anyone there?

ThunderCrack - Stimulus porno

Another “I am not kidding” post today.  Tens of millions of dollars of the Stimulus Stabilization were used to create pornos.

Well, as long as its helping the average guy with jobs, its working, right?  I mean without the millions that taxpayers have to fork over, who would marry the gorrilla?

The next morning, [Bing] awakens to the pleasant feeling of being masturbated, though to his horror, the act is being carried out by Medusa [the gorilla], who now has a severe crush on him…[later] Bing has married Medusa, though for some reason, he wore the wedding dress.  — Perfunction

Read it….read it all and realize what your taxes are used for.  Not jobs, not economic growth, but pornos…with gorillas.

Paul Ryan talks about ObamaCare

July 30, 2009 Leave a comment

The interviewer states the normal liberal press crap.  Why would you need to bother reading a bill before voting on it?  Paul does well, but then gets hit with an interesting question.

Since this is so important why go to recess instead of grinding away at it?  Oh, that was a good one.  Why, indeed.

I can understand why the Republicans wanted the recess.  The more people are learning about this, the worse it is looking for Obama and his agenda.  Right now, we have the ball rolling in getting that information out there, so the recess will be well used.

How about the Democrats?  Why didn’t they push to delay the recess?  I honestly don’t know, but I think its a sign of severe weakness.  If it was close to passing, delay the recess and get it done.  If its not close to passing, the polls show that support for the bill is getting worse and worse and the Dems have yet to even slow that decline, never mind reverse it.

So what are they thinking?  Obviously, delaying their recess is something they are all loathe to do, but with the pressure Obama was putting on them, I wouldn’t think it outside the realm of possibility.

Personally, I think that they plan on threatening, bribing, and convincing the Blue Dog group to go with the plan and getting the votes they need to push it past the GOP, the desires of the public be damned.  They need the time to get their group into line to be able to force this through.  Of course, that whole plan hinges on pushing their desires, not the needs of the people of the country.

Top Obama Supporter Rewarded with DoJ job Approved Dismissal of Voter Intimidation Case against Black Panther AFTER the DoJ won the case

I wondered when someone was going to finally track this one down.

DOJ’s decision to dismiss the case has been mysterious, in part, because it came after the defendants had defaulted. So the case had been won, and Justice decided to give it away.

Republicans in Congress have tried to find out who decided to let the Panthers off, and why, but they have been stonewalled by the Justice Department and the Obama administration. The Washington Times has been investigating, however, and reports that the decision to drop the case was approved by Associate Attorney General Thomas J. Perrelli. Perrilli is a Democratic Party activist who raised $500,000 for President Obama’s campaign and was rewarded with the number three spot in the Department of Justice.  — PowerLine

This is how Obama got votes.

Liberals turn on Dems and prove that ObamaCare is not about health care, its about control.

obama_liarIf you have been watching the implosion of the Dems in polls and pretty much anything having to do with ObamaCare, you may have noticed the voice of semi-sanity on the Dems side, the Blue Dogs.

What do they want?

The “Blue Dog” Democrats — a group of fiscally conservative representatives who account for 52 seats in the House — are demanding that the massive bill to revise existing health insurance plans will provide an affordable government option for small businesses and competitive pricing to keep private insurers in business –FoxNews

Well, that sounds pretty good, right?  Today, they announced they had reached an agreement that they could move forward on.  Leave out the public plan and use the cost saving ideas and such to improve health care across the board.

How did the House Liberals respond to this?  OH, HELL NO!

“It’s unacceptable,” said Rep. Lynn Woolsey (D-Calif.), co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. “We’re not going to vote for anything that doesn’t have a robust public plan.”  — TheHill

So, what does this show?  That the ObamaCare package is a farse.  It is nothing more and nothing less that forced government control of medical coverage in the US.  Think about it this way:  In 2004, CALPIRG reported that 11% of all revenue in California went into health care insurance.  Of course, Dems claim its much higher, but lets assume 11% for the moment.  If ObamaCare gets passed, that means that over 10% of your company just got handed to government control.   They decide how that money gets spent and they decide what level of care you get.  If the budget gets tight, they can easily increase that amount or decrease your care.

If it was truly about quality care and cutting costs, the Liberals would have jumped at a chance to get that first step in place and build on it.  The truth is they know it won’t work, they don’t care.  Its all about control.

We’ve every facility here for dealing with people who are rich. We can deal with a blocked purse, we can drain private accounts and in the worst eases we can perform a total cashectomy, which is total removal of all moneys from the patient.  — Monty Python

Nobody said Medicare will be getting cuts, says Obama. Obama admits he is nobody.

HotAir has this video of the One telling us that “No one is talking” about cuts to Medicare benefits.

So, is Obama ignorant of what his staff says or is he just lying?  History has me leaning to the idea he is trying to deceive us.

About $110 billion of the new cuts would come from reducing scheduled increases in Medicare payments. That would encourage health care providers to increase productivity, White House budget director Peter Orszag told reporters.  — CNN

Do you visit the site and think to yourself, “I wish he would write about this or that?”  Ever want to pretend you are famous and people actually give a damn about what you write?  Well, AYFS is looking for you!

If you would like to contribute a story to the site, just used the Contact Us page and send it to me.  If its ok, I’ll post it and, of course, credit it to you.  I am also looking for anyone who wants to post regularly.

Its a lot of work and a lot of the posts I want to make, I can’t due to lack of time.  Help me get the word out about all this crap.

My requirements are these:

  • Article must contribute something original and if it is based mostly on someone else’s post, clearly identify that and always direct the reader to the original post.
  • Any statements of fact must have a link to either the primary source or the news/blog that has such a link.  We have to be able to prove what we say.
  • Include trackback URLs whenever possible.
  • Name calling, insulting, etc. is an opinion and must never be the basis of an article.  Its not HuffPost here, people, lets use facts.

So, feel free to send in a post.  Lets get a few authors then maybe we can increase our readership to 2 people, or even 3!  Well, lets not get too ambitious.
